House Bill 1049, “An Act providing for consumer data privacy, for rights of consumers and duties of businesses relating to the collection of personal information and for duties of the Attorney General,” was referred to the Consumer Affairs Committee in the State House in April, 2019.  No progress on this bill has been made since.
