Senate Bill 116 and House Bill 159—each named the Consumer Data Privacy Act—were introduced March 31, 2021.

Some highlights are currently written:

• would give individuals the right to know what personal information is being collected about them
• individuals could request the deletion of personal information
• allow consumers to opt out of the sale of their personal information and learn whether their information has been sold or disclosed to third parties.
